Sannokura Highland

Sannokura Highland

三ノ倉高原

Fukushima · Tohoku

A broad farmed slope above Kitakata, high enough to look back down over the Aizu basin and the mountains on its far side. The field is worked on rotation by the local farming association and reached by a single road up from the valley.

Why it's hidden

Kitakata's visitors come for ramen and the kura streets in the town below; the slope above it is farmland with a car park, not a signposted attraction.
