The Stone Church is a chapel set into a wooded slope in Karuizawa, built as a memorial to the Christian thinker Uchimura Kanzo. Its structure is a run of paired arches in stone and glass that rise from the ground and continue over the roof, with much of the interior below ground level. It works as a wedding chapel, and general visiting is received between 10:00 and 17:00 on days when no ceremony is taking place.
Usual hours — confirm with the official site for holidays + seasonal closures.
