Sugarcane Field Straight Road (Sugar Road)

サトウキビ畑の一本道(シュガーロード)

Kagoshima · Kyushu

A roughly 2.5–3.5km arrow-straight road cutting north-south through sugarcane fields in the Ijiku/Isago area, nicknamed the 'road to the East China Sea' for how it appears to run straight into the sky and ocean.

Why we picked it

A well-known photo spot among islanders and repeat visitors but rarely marketed outside Kikaijima, with no facilities or parking to signal its presence to passersby.
