A faithful 2011 reconstruction of the 1639 stone warehouse of the Dutch East India Company's trading post, which operated in Hirado from 1609 to 1641 before the Dutch were relocated to Dejima in Nagasaki. Standing on the waterfront overlooking the Hirado Strait, it now serves as a museum documenting the town's early international trade. It is the oldest Western-style stone building reconstructed on its original site in Japan.
