Todoroki Station
驫木駅Aomori · Tohoku
驫木駅 stands almost alone on the Sea of Japan shoreline in Fukaura, with the small 1951 wooden station building set right against the coast and the Gono Line's tracks running along the water — there is a settlement nearby, but nothing built up around the platform itself. The line is rated one of the most scenic in Japan for this coastal run, and this station in particular is known for its sunsets: a sundial and log bench were added beside the building in a 2008 renovation specifically so visitors could sit and watch the sun go down over the sea.
