A natural-history museum on remote Goshoura Island in the Amakusa archipelago, reachable only by ferry/sea-taxi, displaying ~2,000 Cretaceous-period fossils excavated locally. Fully renovated and reopened March 20, 2024 as a three-story building; visitors can also fossil-hunt for free at an adjacent dig site.

How to get there
Ferry/car-ferry/sea-taxi from Tanasoko Port, Hondo Port (Amakusa City), Daido Port (Kamiamakusa City), or Minamata Port to Goshoura Port, then a short walk. No parking on the island for regular visitors.
