Maruo Falls

Maruo Falls is a rare hot-spring waterfall in the Kirishima onsen district, a 23-metre drop fed by four upstream hot springs rather than by a cold mountain stream. It sits directly beside the road between Maruo Onsen and Kirishima Shrine, so it takes minutes to see. Because the water is hot, the fall visibly steams in cold weather.
