Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort
野沢温泉スキー場Nagano · Chubu
Nozawa Onsen's ski area covers roughly 297 hectares on the flank of Mount Kenashi, rising from the old hot-spring village at 565m to 1,650m, with a top-to-bottom run of about 10km and terrain that ranges from the wide Uenotaira plateau to the 39-degree Schneider wall. Lifts start from two points inside the village itself, so the mountain and the 13 free public bathhouses below it are a single walkable place rather than a resort built apart from a town. The published 2025-26 season ran 29 November to 6 May; exact dates are set by snowfall and announced each autumn.
