Kanazawa Station Tsuzumi-mon Gate
金沢駅鼓門Ishikawa · Chubu
The Tsuzumi-mon is a wooden gate at the east exit of Kanazawa station, two 13-metre columns splayed like the body of a hand drum used in Noh theatre. Behind it a glass-and-steel dome, the Motenashi Dome, covers the forecourt. It is lit after dark and is the first thing most arrivals in Kanazawa see.
