Gifu · Chubu
Oda Nobunaga's mountain castle, rebuilt on the summit of Mount Kinka three hundred metres above the Nagara River, reached by a ropeway or by a steep hour on foot. From the keep the whole Nobi plain opens out, which is exactly why he took it and renamed the town Gifu.
