Fukuoka · Kyushu
Miyajidake Shrine stands at the head of a straight stone approach that runs downhill towards the sea, giving it a long uninterrupted sightline out over the coast. The grounds are free and open at all hours, and seasonal blossom — cherry, then azalea — is the other reason people come. It is about 28 minutes' walk from Fukuma Station, or a bus ride from central Fukuoka.
Usual hours — confirm with the official site for holidays + seasonal closures.
