The catch is landed locally and sold whole, alongside the two things Natsui is actually known for — dried genge, the deep-water eelpout grilled as a bar snack, and octopus cooked into rice. The complex also holds an onsen bath looking straight out at the Japan Sea, which is what makes it a stop rather than an errand.
