Sengataki is the 30 m waterfall that marks the head of Shosenkyo Gorge, tumbling through a fault in the granite at the foot of the Kakuenbo pinnacle. Named after a Chinese moon goddess, it is one of Japan's 'Top 100 Waterfalls' and the scenic climax of the gorge walk. The surrounding maples make it a marquee autumn-foliage spot.
