Seven ornately lacquered and metalworked wooden floats, dating back roughly 400 years, are pulled through Takaoka's old town center to Sekino Shrine. One of only five festivals nationwide designated both a National Important Tangible and Intangible Folk Cultural Property, and inscribed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
