One of Japan's three great cormorant-fishing traditions, held on the Hijikawa River below Ozu Castle. Guests board roofed pleasure boats to watch fishermen and their cormorants work by torchlight along the longest ukai course in the country. The June 1 opening night is marked with Garyu taiko drumming and fireworks.
