One of Japan's three major fire festivals, with over 420 years of history in Sukagawa City. Teams of roughly 150 men carry giant torches (up to 3 tons, 10m long) through the streets before setting them ablaze on Mt. Gorozan at dusk, accompanied by taiko drumming.
