Nagasaki's Dutch-themed park runs what it bills as Japan's largest illumination, topping the national ranking thirteen years running: around 13 million lights across 1.5 million square metres of canals, windmills and European streetscape, enough that you can walk for three hours without repeating a scene. For the 2026-27 winter the display has been rebuilt for the first time in sixteen years and now runs as The Starlight Million.
