One of Shikoku's three great festivals (with Awa Odori and Yosakoi), fixed annually on Oct 16-18 regardless of weekday. Roughly 50+ taiko-dai (3-ton, 5.5m drum floats carried by up to 150 men) parade through Niihama, centered on Ichinomiya Shrine.
