Adachi Fireworks Festival

Roughly 13,000 shells over the Arakawa riverbed between the Chiyoda-line rail bridge and Nishiarai-bashi, fired in a single hour with the Tokyo skyline behind them. Adachi moved the festival out of July and into late May in 2025 to keep spectators out of the summer heat, which makes it the first big Tokyo fireworks night of the year rather than one of many in August. There is no rain date — severe weather cancels it outright.
