Sanuki Mannou Park

国営讃岐まんのう公園

Kagawa · Shikoku

Sanuki Mannou Park is the national government park for Shikoku, spread over hillsides above the Mannou reservoir in inland Kagawa. It combines wide flower meadows with a campground, rental-cycle routes, a dog run and a large children's play area. The plantings are staged through the year, running from spring tulips to summer sunflowers, autumn kochia and cosmos, and a winter illumination.

Why we picked it

Kagawa day-trips concentrate on Kotohira and the Seto islands; this inland park is 20 minutes further into the hills and sees mostly local families.
