Sesoko Island
瀬底島Okinawa
Sesoko is a small island off the west side of the Motobu Peninsula, joined to Okinawa Main Island by a road bridge so you can drive straight onto it. It is mostly residential and agricultural, with a beach on the south-west shore looking across the water to Ie Island. Typhoon season runs roughly June to October, and a passing storm can cancel ferries, flights and all marine activity across the islands at a day's notice — check the forecast before you rely on this stop.
