Fusaki Beach on Ishigaki is free to enter even if you are not staying at the resort behind it, and the lockers are free too. Lifeguards are on duty March to October and a jellyfish net is in place June to October; marine activities are charged separately, with snorkelling and SUP from ¥7,700 and a clear kayak from ¥6,700. Typhoon season runs roughly June to October, and a passing storm can cancel ferries, flights and all marine activity across the islands at a day's notice — check the forecast before you rely on this stop.
