Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is built around the Kuroshio Sea tank, one of the largest in the world, which holds whale sharks and manta rays. Adult admission is ¥2,180 and it opens 8:30 AM–6:30 PM with last entry an hour before closing, running later in peak periods — to 8:00 PM over Golden Week and 18–31 July, and to 9:00 PM through August. It is about 90 minutes by car from Naha with no rail access, so it is a half-day commitment rather than a quick stop.
