Zanpa Beach is a village-run beach in Yomitan on Okinawa, free to enter and with free parking; showers and lockers cost ¥200 each. The Zanpa Cape lighthouse stands on the headland at one end of it. Typhoon season runs roughly June to October, and a passing storm can cancel ferries, flights and all marine activity across the islands at a day's notice — check the forecast before you rely on this stop.
