Okinawa
Cape Manzamo is a grass-topped headland on Okinawa whose cliff, seen from the walkway, has the profile of an elephant's trunk. The observation walkway that reaches that viewpoint costs ¥100 per person; the adjacent building with shops, toilets and its own free deck costs nothing. It is open 8:00 AM–8:00 PM. Typhoon season runs roughly June to October, and a passing storm can cancel ferries, flights and all marine activity across the islands at a day's notice — check the forecast before you rely on this stop.
Usual hours — confirm with the official site for holidays + seasonal closures.
