Higashi Village Tsutsuji Eco Park

Higashi Village Tsutsuji Eco Park

東村つつじエコパーク

Okinawa

A hillside park in Higashi village on Okinawa's Yanbaru coast, planted with some fifty thousand azalea shrubs across a slope above the Fukuji dam. There are camping pitches and a lookout at the top, and the surrounding forest is the Yanbaru national park.

Why it's hidden

Yanbaru is two hours north of Naha and most visitors to Okinawa turn around at Churaumi, an hour short of here.
