Gamou Udon

Gamou Udon

がもううどん(蒲生うどん)

Kagawa · Shikoku

Gamou Udon is a long-running self-serve Sanuki udon shop in the Kamo district of Sakaide, famous for eating a bowl outdoors amid the surrounding rice fields. Customers pick up noodles, ladle their own hot broth, and add tempura and toppings from the counter.

Why we picked it

Set among Sakaide's rice paddies with no storefront frills, it is a locals' pilgrimage spot that sells out most days and closes early once the noodles run out.
