Kamiyama Artist in Residence (KAIR) is a long-running program (est. 1999) that hosts international and Japanese artists in the mountain town of Kamiyama, part of the wider satoyama creative-revival movement that made Kamiyama a model "creative rural town." Artist studios, past installations, and a broader community of design firms and remote-work migrants are woven through the town.
