Temple 51 of the Shikoku 88-temple pilgrimage, whose sprawling grounds hold seven National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties, including a 1318 gate and a late-Kamakura three-story pagoda. Behind the main hall a pitch-dark 'Mantra Cave' tunnels through the hillside past 88 pilgrimage statues.
