Furuzamami Beach

古座間味ビーチ

Okinawa

Zamami’s signature beach — a curving white-sand bay over the brilliant ‘Kerama blue’ sea, with coral reef just offshore for some of Okinawa’s best snorkelling, a short walk or shuttle from Zamami Port. Typhoon season runs roughly June to October, and a passing storm can cancel ferries, flights and all marine activity across the islands at a day's notice — check the forecast before you rely on this stop.

Why it's hidden

Many mainstream travelers flock to more popular islands like Okinawa Main Island, overlooking the serene beauty of Zamami.
